WE PERSEVERED AND OVERCAME THE FREEZER INCIDENT!!
We want to thank all of you that helped our business survive and recover from losing our freezer during our busiest time of the season, back in 2023. Thanks to you, we made it!!
While we still struggle to find qualified employees that want to work, we are grateful for all of our customers. Because of you, we have overcome so many obstacles. We cannot thank you, enough.

On August 10th, 2023, Granrud’s Lefse Shack suffered a major blow when their freezer went down. In addition to that, the alarm to alert staff of the issue in this type of emergency, also failed. This resulted in a total loss of all lefse inventory for the season.
First, we profusely apologize to our customers for any inconvenience this may cause. Please understand that nobody is more devastated than us. It results in massive amounts of product and labor completely gone to waste. It is a massive financial loss for us.
However, true to our roots, we will not give up.
With the support of our customers and community, we will push forward and do our best to supply our customers with the lefse they so love.
We are waiting for the potato harvest and once it happens, we will immediately begin working to make more of our award winning lefse. Our team will work to replace the lost lefse.
With that said, you are strongly encouraged to place your orders now. Place your orders early as we will fill orders in the following manner.
- Subscriptions are filled first.
- Orders will be filled in the order they are received.
Granrud’s Lefse will work diligently to ship all orders by their Ship Date. However, until we are able to recover from this loss, we cannot guarantee shipments will go out by the requested Ship Date. This is why we strongly encourage you to place your orders early this season.
Cancellations are subject to a $15 restocking fee.
